The National Center for College and Career Transitions, or NC3T, has a twofold mission: “Every Learner with a Dream and a Plan, and Every Community with a Capable, Ready Workforce.” The organization works to connect schools, postsecondary institutions, and employers in order to introduce students to the array of options available to them and to help them prepare for the types of opportunities for which they are best suited.
NC3T provides planning, coaching, technical assistance and tools to help community-based leadership teams plan and implement their college-career pathway systems, as well as a range of tools and other services to help schools and colleges provide every student with an opportunity to participate in Career Connected Learning.

What challenge is this solution working to address?
Career Connected Learning has proven to be an effective model in engaging students and preparing them for their futures. And in order to build an effective Career Connected Learning model, you need to engage local employers and provide students with real-world work-based learning opportunities. Despite the importance of employer engagement and work-based learning, however, there is a limited amount of support available for those who do this important work. That’s why we created Seamless WBL.
The National Center for College and Career Transitions, or NC3T, has a two-fold vision: “Every learner with a dream and a plan, and every community with a capable and ready workforce.” We work to communicate the power and promise of Career Connected Learning and to develop the capacity of local and state leaders who lead Career Connected Learning systems and activities within their communities.
This includes working directly with districts and their community to build wall-to-wall Pathways models; it also includes direct support on effective employer engagement. That includes not only publications, workshops, and consulting, but the development of tools like Seamless WBL.
This Solution Is Agile Because…
It leverages technology to help better connect learners and educators to work-based learning opportunities within their local communities.
